Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Governance in Lansing, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor visitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Your visible presence and exceptional communication will help deter incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect access badges, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Assist with maintaining a welcoming, professional environment while helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting healthcare location operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
