Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Ocala, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication and professional interactions while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor or driver authorization, maintain entry records, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles according to site procedures.
• Control access to warehouse areas, loading docks, shipping and receiving zones, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
