The New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a Research Technician located at the Jonesboro, Arkansas campus. The ideal Research Technician candidate would have experience with fundamental cellular and molecular biology techniques, as well as experience working with research animals.
Responsibilities
- Small animal handling and in vivo studies.
- Laboratory organization and purchasing.
- Experiments related to cellular and molecular biology.
- Data collection, analysis, and maintenance of records.
- General laboratory maintenance.
- Research project assistance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- A bachelor’s degree (e.g., B.S., B.A.) in Biology, Chemistry, Physiology, Biochemistry, or related fields. Experience related to handling laboratory equipment is preferred.
- Experience related to handling laboratory equipment.
- Experience with molecular biological techniques such as Electrophoresis, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), etc., is preferred
- Experience working with basic science laboratory equipment and with laboratory research animals and cell culture is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and an interest in developing independent research projects are preferred.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
