Great opportunity for Truck Mechanic to join a family owned business offering workshop and field service work based in Forrestfield
Duties and requirements
- Must have worked on heavy transport vehicles (Prime movers) Scania, Volvo, Mack, Kenworth, etc
- Trade certification in Heavy commercial vehichles
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify issues in computerized systems - Such as onboard computers and engine management systems.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and bodywork repairs as necessary.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of trucks.
- Inspect and adjust truck systems, such as steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the workshop or on-site.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to truck owners/operators regarding maintenance schedules, repairs, and replacement parts.
