About this role

The Courier Scheduling team is at the heart of our delivery ecosystem, ensuring we have the right courier coverage at the right place and time to handle millions of orders seamlessly.

In this role, you'll be crucial to maintaining the quality, accuracy, and reliability of our complex scheduling engines and algorithms, balancing both hands-on exploratory testing and modern test automation. You will work side-by-side with developers, data scientists, and product managers to catch edge cases early, optimize release pipelines, and prevent shift planning disruptions.

We're looking for someone who champions end-to-end quality, embodies our values of lead, deliver, and care, and ensures our core logistical platform operates without a hitch.

* Please note that this position is located in Berlin (3 days a week from our Berlin office and 2 days working from home)

These are some of the key components to the position:  

• Plan, design, and execute comprehensive manual test scenarios and automated test scripts across web, mobile, and API layers to ensure seamless end-to-end user experiences.
• Build, maintain, and scale robust automated test suites using modern frameworks and programming languages to ensure high regression coverage and fast feedback loops.
• Perform requirements analysis, risk assessments, and root cause analysis on software defects to proactively elevate quality standards across the SDLC.
• Identify, report, and track bugs while monitoring key performance metrics to optimize continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Partner closely with developers and product managers to refine requirements, resolve quality blockers, and drive rapid feedback cycles.
• Audit team quality processes, share test automation best practices, and support peer engineers to ensure collective success and alignment with company standards.

What will you bring to the team? 

• Strong hands-on experience combining exploratory manual testing techniques with code-based automated testing methods across web and API platforms.
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable automation code using languages like Java or JavaScript with frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Solid expertise in API testing and performance tooling using REST Assured, Postman, or k6 to ensure robust backend service reliability.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, New Relic) to track system health, metrics, and production issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of conducting root cause analysis on complex, distributed systems.
• Exceptional communication skills combined with a proactive, self-starter mindset to drive quality outcomes in fast-paced engineering teams.
