Learning & Development Manager
Department: Manufacturing

Location: Redondo Beach
Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 / year
Description
Primarily office-based at our Redondo Beach facility. Occasional travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize the company’s LMS, including course assignment, enrollment, completion tracking, and reporting
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Mission Management, EHS, Security, Quality, Legal, and People teams to identify training needs and develop company-wide and role-specific programs
- Develop and maintain onboarding, compliance, safety, technical, and professional-development training
- Manage third-party training vendors, including selection, scheduling, delivery, and budget
- Establish training policies, compliance tracking, reporting, and metrics while continuously improving programs as the company scales
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or a related HR function
- Demonstrated experience selecting, implementing, or administering an LMS
- Demonstrated experience building training programs or L&D capabilities from the ground up
- Strong project management and stakeholder-management skills
- Demonstrated experience with training compliance, reporting, and/or audit readiness
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and HRIS/LMS platforms
- High school diploma, or GED certificate equivalent
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another regulated industry
- Familiarity with ITAR/export controls, cybersecurity, safety, ethics, or other government-contractor training requirements
- Instructional design experience or an L&D certification (e.g., ATD/CPTD)
- Experience scaling L&D programs in a high-growth startup
- Bachelors degree in engineering, or related field
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
