Position Title: Sr. Customer Quality Engineer - Aftermarket, Wholesale & Distributors
Function: Engineering — General Engineering

The Role
This senior role serves as the regional customer quality owner for all Battery plants in Mexico supporting Aftermarket, Wholesale and Distributor customers. The position coordinates customer quality performance, response discipline, problem-solving governance and escalation management across the battery manufacturing network and distribution interfaces, protecting customer satisfaction, warranty exposure, business continuity and the reputation of the Mexico region.
What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)
- Coordinates and governs cross-plant customer quality strategy for Aftermarket, Wholesale and Distributor channels, ensuring consistent priorities, standards and execution across all battery plants in Mexico.
- Acts as a senior technical authority in advanced problem solving, customer communication and escalation response, aligning plants on containment, 8D discipline, root-cause elimination, lessons learned and recurrence prevention.
- Influences plant, commercial, Customer Care, warranty, supply chain and distribution leadership to improve field performance, reduce claims and strengthen regional quality maturity.

- Improved customer trust and faster response discipline across Aftermarket, Wholesale and Distributor channels.
- Reduction in recurring claims, PPM, warranty exposure and customer escalations.
- Consistent, high-quality 8D responses and verified effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Cross-plant deployment of lessons learned and visible improvement in systemic issues.
- Recognition as a senior technical advisor for customer quality and problem solving in the Mexico battery organization.

What You Bring (Qualifications)
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electronic Engineering or related technical field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Customer Quality or Operations, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
- Strong experience with customer escalations, warranty / field claims, multi-site coordination and advanced problem solving.
- Experience influencing senior plant and commercial stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
- Battery manufacturing process knowledge preferred.
- IATF 16949 and Quality Management System knowledge.
- Automotive Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
- 8D, Shainin / Red X or equivalent advanced problem-solving methods.
- Warranty analytics, customer complaint management, containment and risk management.
- English - 90% proficiency / business fluent required.
- Based in Mexico. Travel required across battery plants, distribution locations and customer sites as needed. Availability to support urgent customer escalations or operational contingencies.
