Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining a healthy relationship with internal and external stakeholders. He/She will gather pertinent information from Logistics Specialists, as well as Clinical Supplies Project Managers, and/or Global Depot Analyst to complete Logistics related deliverables as assigned. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for organizing/filing department documentation for short-term and long-term storage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance for all logistics-related functions including receiving, distribution, returns, and destruction.
- Assist Logistics Specialist with obtaining information from internal and external stakeholders for quotes pertaining to logistics-based information.
- Assist on confirmation within Customer Supplied and / or Sharp Interactive Resource Technology (IRT) System
- Provide feedback to management to improve new and existing processes.
- Complete data entry such of Logistic Documentation, such as Distribution Instructions, Product Profiles, Return Instructions, etc. for Logistics Specialist.
- Analyze the daily distribution activities with Logistics Specialist pertaining to project specific distribution processes.
- Assist with the creation of pro forma/commercial invoices.
- Maintain all shipping documentation including, but not limited to filing, scanning, retrieving documentation, re-filing, etc.
- Assist in investigations pertaining to distribution-related issues.
- Comply with all cGMP guidelines.
- Adhere to set safety standards.
- Participate actively in regular meetings.
- Achieve expected performance measures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics or related field; three to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Excellent oral and written communication is required to communicate with the team, peers, management and external contacts. Ability to speak effectively before a group of any combination of the above.
- Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Project and Excel.
- Must have the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Effective communication, organization, planning, initiative, follow-through, and responsiveness skills are a must.
- Knowledge in pharmaceutical and/or international shipping is preferred.
