Based in Kuala Lumpur with antennas in all APAC operating affiliates, ALGEM manages International Supply Chains including supply planning, logistics design & execution for globally and regionally traded materials.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Reporting to the Inland SCM Manager, the Logistics Coordinator – Inland (Air Liquide Vietnam) is in charge of administering inland shipping transactions (from receiving ports/borders to facilities, and vice versa for returnable assets/cylinders) for Air Liquide Vietnam.
To that extent, the ALGEM Logistics Coordinator of Inland EAP (ALV) is responsible for:
(i) Inland Operations & Distribution: Organizing local transportation with internal/external logistics service providers and dispatching packages (both empty and full containers/cylinders/ISO tanks) in accordance with ALV’s operational needs, ensuring continuity of supply at optimized costs.
(ii) Shipment Tracking & Incident Management: Monitoring actual inland shipping progress and tracking ongoing movements. Promptly notifying key stakeholders and managing resolutions if any operational disruptions or delays occur.
(iii) Cross-Team & Regional Coordination: Coordinating seamlessly with local ALV operations/plant teams, customs brokers, and KL-based international logistics coordinators for smooth shipment handover at designated Vietnamese arrival ports/terminals to ALV facilities.
(iv) Documentation, Compliance & Invoicing: Preparing and managing all relevant inland transport documentation, handling local import/export and chemical permit applications (e.g., MOIT, local regulatory authorities), and issuing accurate invoices to dedicated affiliates in a timely manner.
(v) Stakeholder Communication: Ensuring timely, clear, and accurate communication with ALV and regional teams regarding shipment organization, delivery schedules, documentation, and potential operational hazards.
(vi) Continuous Improvement & Local Support: Supporting ad-hoc supply chain optimization projects, local business growth initiatives, and process standardization within Vietnam.
Candidate should be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including supply planners, asset managers, procurement, warehouse, commercial, and HSE teams within the ALGEM and ALV organizations, to achieve strategic goals in Safety, Quality, Reliability, and Efficiency.
The Logistics Coordinator – Inland is directly responsible for all inland logistics coordination within Vietnam, ensuring safe and compliant transport from port/border entry to ALV facilities and return loop management.
Are you a MATCH?
Extensive Experience in supply chain, order taking, logistics arrangement within the Chemical/Industrial Gas industry with a customer facing role. Knowledge of import/export of Vietnam and domestic delivery.
Experience in dealing with Dangerous Goods cargoes with freight forwarders and Vietnamese government.
Good communication in English and Vietnamese, very organized, rigorous, reliable, independent, transparent and diligent.
