Role description:
- Good understanding and Knowledge of international codes like DMRB, AASHTO, and Euro codes along with various other International Codal Practices and Standards, Design Standards of Local County Councils
- Highway Design experience using Open Roads Designer and good expertise in 3D modelling for proposals and Detail design projects.
- Roadway Design for various stages of Design-Build Projects – Detailed design of Roadway corridor, Detailed drawings, construction support drawings, Design Reviews, Project Management, and Design Management.
- Experience in MS Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Role accountabilities:
- Responsible for managing technical aspects of smaller and/or less complex tasks or components of larger tasks, meeting financial, quality, timeframe and health and safety objectives
- Responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for Highway design-related tasks.
- Preparation / Finalization of various highway-related drawings at various stages of projects.
- Computation of quantities.
- Preparation of design reports.
- Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys.
- Coaching and mentoring team members.
- Ability to lead and design projects.
- Should have handled a minimum of 1 Design projects-overseas preferably for the UK/US/CAN/EU/ME/AUS in the Infrastructure Business.
- Software: Navisworks, Infraworks, Open Roads
- Excellent Soft Skills related to People Management (desirable)
- Strong mentoring Skills – Ability to build teams (desirable)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education - Graduation - B.Tech/B.E. – Civil or Post Graduation - MTech – Civil/Transportation. Minimum 8+ years of experience in a Design Consulting Environment
- Strong understanding of DMRB/AASHTO codes
- Software – Open Roads Designer. All others like Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Infraworks and Navisworks would be added advantages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), including technical report writing.
- Organized and proactive (self-starter).
