Description
The Technical Sales Consultant will be responsible for developing and strengthening professional relationships with engineering consulting firms, design and specification offices, main contractors, installers, institutional stakeholders, investors, and the technical departments of distributors operating within the Plumbing and HVAC markets.
In alignment with the Company's strategic objectives and under the guidance of the Watts Iberica Sales Manager, the incumbent will promote the specification and adoption of Watts systems and solutions, positioning the company's brands as preferred partners for technical and commercial projects.
Key responsibilities include providing high-level technical and application support, delivering product presentations, training sessions, and technical consultancy to customers and market stakeholders. The Technical Sales Consultant will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring a thorough understanding of Watts products, solutions, and their applications.
The role will also contribute to business development by monitoring market trends, identifying emerging opportunities, analyzing competitive dynamics, and providing feedback to support product portfolio development and market positioning strategies.
As a member of the Sales Team, the Technical Sales Consultant will work closely with colleagues across functions to support the development of new projects, drive specification activities, and achieve the company's commercial objectives.
Reporting Line
The position reports directly to the Watts Iberica Sales Manager.
Key Objectives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the Plumbing and HVAC sector.
- Increase specification and adoption of Watts products and solutions.
- Deliver effective technical consultancy and application support.
- Support business growth through market intelligence and competitive analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategic projects and sales initiatives.
Requirements:
- A consolidated experience in similar position
- Knowledge of HVAC sector (channels, products, figures, applications …)
- Predisposition to interpersonal relationships
- Availability to travel frequently in Spain and Portugal
- Good familiarity with it systems
- Spanish mother tongue, good English and Portoguese preferably
- Degree in engineering or technical disciplines
- Residence in the Barcelona Area
