Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS and/or Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines
- Design and optimize workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for business analysts and reporting teams.
- Collaborate with analysts to deliver modelled data, dashboards, and reports.
- Troubleshoot and support existing data pipelines and integrations
Required Skills/Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferably with a focus on Data Science and Analytics) or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipeline design.
- Ability to work collaboratively with analytics and business teams.
- Completed Data Science coursework or certification
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, or similar ETL tools.
- Familiarity with IBM Cognos, Power BI, or other BI/reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with common Data Science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
- Knowledge of data modelling and data warehouse concepts.
- Interest in data analytics and visualization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of data engineering experience
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance and Level II NATO Secret security clearance
- Legal authorization to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid Work Permit
