Description
Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer and play a key role in driving process excellence, quality, and innovation in a precision machining environment. You’ll leverage your expertise in CNC programming, fixture design, process optimization, and quality systems to support production and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and optimize CNC programs for complex machining operations.
- Design and implement custom fixtures and work holding solutions for precision manufacturing.
- Analyze, document, and improve manufacturing processes using lean principles and statistical process control (SPC).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance product quality.
- Develop and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment.
- Establish and maintain robust inspection procedures for in-process and final product verification.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for new and existing products, including labor, materials, tooling, and equipment.
- Ensure all processes and documentation comply with AS9100D requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits, support corrective actions, and maintain quality management system documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial).
- Proven experience in CNC programming and machining operations.
- Strong background in fixture and work holding design.
- Demonstrated ability to design, document, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Experience with maintenance reliability programs and equipment troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of floor inspection techniques, calibration, and measurement systems.
- Proficiency in cost estimating and quoting for manufacturing projects.
- In-depth understanding of AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar process improvement certifications.
- Experience with CAM software such as Esprite, Master Cam, NX, or Mazatrol DX.
- Experience with CAD software such as Solid Edge or Solid Works.
- Experience with Quoting software such as Paperless Parts.
- Hands on shop experience with focus on metal cutting.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or defense manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS13100 standards.
