IE University's Administration & Accounting is looking for an Accounts Receivable Senior Associate to join its team!As A/R Senior Associate, you will be a key member of the Administration & Accounting team, bringing a broader and more autonomous view of student billing and collections at IE University. Beyond ensuring that every invoice, payment, and reconciliation tells a clear story, you will help keep client balances accurate and consistent throughout the monthly and annual closing processes, and provide active support during audit processes.
Beyond the numbers, you will continue to be the human face of our finance operations: helping students understand their financial status and resolving their questions with empathy and clarity. Your experience will also allow you to anticipate issues, propose process improvements, and contribute to the automation of administrative and accounting tasks.
You will also be a point of support for other departments and entities within the IE Group, taking part in internal projects and cross-functional initiatives, and helping our institution run more smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Your role as a Accounts Receivable Senior Associate will involve:- Manage student enrollment and billing processes end-to-end, in close coordination with Admissions, Financial Aid, Registry, and Academic Departments.
- Process and reconcile daily bank transactions, ensuring every accounting entry is accurate and traceable.
- Oversee donations from both an accounting and administrative perspective.
- Be the go-to person for students and other departments on billing, payments, and financial conditions, providing clear and accurate explanations.
- Support the monthly and annual accounting close for accounts receivable, and assist internal and external auditors in this area by providing the necessary documentation and clarifications.
- Act as an escalation point for complex billing or collections cases that require closer analysis.
- Contribute to process improvement and the automation of administrative and accounting tasks, and take part in internal projects and cross-functional initiatives when needed.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Academic background — Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field desirable.
- Relevant experience — Solid track record in billing, collections management, or accounts receivable, including involvement in accounting close processes. 2-4 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance position.
- Accounting foundations — Solid understanding of accounting principles and confidence working with day-to-day financial operations.
- Digital fluency — Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Organization and time management — Strong organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple processes and deadlines at once.
- Autonomy and decision-making — Ability to solve problems and make decisions proactively, with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual communicator — Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Team player and global mindset — Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively across departments and teams, explain financial information clearly, and feel comfortable in international, multicultural environments.

- ERP & financial systems — Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 ERP
- AI-driven mindset — Experience and willingness to learn and apply AI-driven tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) in administrative and accounting processes.
- Analytical eye — Curiosity for spotting inconsistencies in data and turning them into actionable improvements.
