Chemours is seeking a Supply Chain Logistics coordinator to join our growing TT Supply Chain team. This position will be available at the Kallo (Antwerp) site and report directly to the TT EMEA Supply Chain Manager.
As a Supply Chain Logistics coordinator, you will hold responsibility for the overall day-to-day Ocean & Road logistic coordination covering the European, Middle East and African region. Arranging shipments, supervising execution, tracking performance and answering complaints for all the deliveries coming from our Kallo central warehouse and manufacturing sites located in the American continent, to our EMEA customers. All this coordination executed from our Kallos Belgium’s offices.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Logistic coordination for EMEA deliveries
- Track and trace of ocean vessels &/or road deliveries to EMEA.
- Ensure proper bookings for ocean deliveries and keep communication with BDP, PLR team, customers excellence representative team and carriers when deviation versus services booked take place.
- Main contact for 3rd party custom broker and carriers’ coordination supplier, for all logistic arrangements for customer deliveries coming out Kallo and manufacturing sites directly to customers.
- Management of the TMS system.
- Accountable for customer orders ocean and road shipping plan implementation & invoicing execution.
- Responsible for EMEA carriers’ performance tracking & review when linked to customer deliveries, looking for continuous improvement on DTP (delivery to promise) performance, freight control, special instructions follow up, reliability of service and expedite investigation of customers complaints.
- Support with reporting status of customer order sales delivery execution in time to the entire SC team (including on time sales recognition)
- Support regular update of carrier lead-times for ocean indent orders & truck deliveries, coming from road deliveries and Kallo ocean outbound orders.
- Capability to support and handle ocean logistic coordination, focus on Kallo and UK inbound restock management.
- Collaborate with Chemours internal departments (planning, customer service, regulatory, procurement and logistics, product management, technical…) on the operations day-to-day challenges and long-term opportunities
- Prioritize shipments while balancing loading site and carrier capacity vs acceptable delivery according to customer segmentation and sales.
• Logistics execution cost control.
- Responsible for carriers cost performance control based on annual rates freight contracted.
- Support cost control for 3PL operation when an Ocean or road deliveries are involved.
- Track and control of detention and demurrage expenses, and/or any other extra cost related to the ocean container handling when serving an ocean customer delivery.
- Responsible for the maximization of the re-utilization of ocean inbound containers for outbound ocean shipments.
- Performed analytical & statistical skills to maintain the EMEA Monthly Regional cost analysis.
- Finish Product Distribution Expenses
- Warehousing Expenses
Participation in logistics carrier tender raised by the Chemours’ PLR team for the annual selection of ocean carrier’s portfolio and ocean freight rate setting.
• Ocean logistic level of service control and customers complaint management
- Accountable to assign non-conformities related Logistics operations or inbound ocean deliveries to the appropriate investigation party and to align with the customer service team and/or operations team to establish an effective preventive and corrective action plan.
- Expedite carrier’s investigation resolutions when gaps versus agreed service without sacrificing the quality or potential effectiveness of the root cause failure analyses.
- Responsible from the TT BU to see improvements actions from ocean carriers been implemented in time and manner.
• Continuous improvement
• Identify and support improvement opportunities related to WH operations for containers consolidation, containers lashing & securing and ocean logistics
• Digitalization of operational processes
- Analyzing carrier performance on a monthly/quarterly basis by creating a TT Dashboard.
- Using the TT Dashboard to improve FPDE and give strategical feedback to carriers.
- Driving continuous improvement to regional CQSI metrics.
- Identify and support improvement opportunities related to logistics.
• Strong networking is needed with Chemours global Ocean team and production sites (US & MX)
Communication
- Collaborate with Chemours internal departments (planning, commercial, customer service, procurement and logistics,…) and warehouse provider on the operations day-to-day challenges and long-term opportunities.
- Strong conversation management with a focus on issue resolution.
- Manage discussions with third party suppliers driving improvement in service.
The following is required for this role:
• Supply Chain knowledge
• Basic Logistics management knowledge (safety, DTP, compliance with ETA, bookings, ocean shipments tracking, etc)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills
• Accurate worker
• Min. 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain / Logistics position
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and English
• In possession of a driver’s license
• Skilled in Excell and data analytical skills
• Agile, flexible, organizer (self-managing), strong problem solver skills, stress resistant.
• Team player
The following is preferred for this role:
• Master degree in Engineering / Commercial Engineering preferred or similar
• Logistics management knowledge (Ocean and road transportation)
• Ocean Port operations moderate knowledge
• Experience/knowledge of how to manage third party suppliers communication for Ocean topics interactions.
• Experience/knowledge about Kallo’s por operation is a plus
• Knowledge of SAP and/or OMP is a plus
• Knowledge of SFDC is a plus
