About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Front Office Department, the Front Office Night Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all Front Office operations during the night shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting the Night Manager in delivering the highest standards of luxury hospitality. The position reports to the Front Office Manager / Night Manager.
As Front Office Night Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Supervise and coordinate all Front Office activities during the night shift.
- Ensure seamless guest arrivals, departures, and night audit processes.
- Support, coach and motivate the overnight Front Office team to deliver exceptional service.
- Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints effectively, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor room status, occupancy levels, VIP arrivals, and special guest requirements.
- Ensure accurate posting of charges, billing verifications, and completion of all night audit procedures.
- Maintain communication with all operational departments to guarantee smooth overnight hotel operations.
- Ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Prepare operational reports and handovers for the morning management team.
- Act as the senior point of contact for guests and colleagues during the night shift.
As Front Office Night Supervisor, we expect from you:
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in Front Office operations within a luxury hotel environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Front Office systems and night audit procedures.
- Ability to lead and develop a team while maintaining high service standards.
- Highly responsible, reliable and detail-oriented.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong guest service orientation with a passion for luxury hospitality.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a multicultural team.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm, professional and courteous.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Front Office supervisory position, preferably within a luxury hotel.
- Excellent command of English; Spanish is highly desirable. Additional languages will be considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays.
