Responsibilities:

You are on a journey to join an exciting Company and be part of our success story. Here we will equip you with the know-how and experience that will define your growth. In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:

- Broad-based legal support across multiple jurisdictions, partnering closely with senior stakeholders on commercial, corporate, regulatory and strategic matters while helping the business achieve its objectives in a legally compliant and risk-managed manner.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of business and operational matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements and legal documents.
• Advise on corporate law and governance and have a sound understanding of corporate secretarial matters.
• Support M&A, joint ventures, restructurings and other corporate transactions as required.
• Advise on legal, regulatory, compliance and risk management issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and improve policies, legal processes, templates and governance frameworks, harnessing AI and legal technology where appropriate.
• Deliver legal and compliance training and support awareness initiatives across the organisation.
• Manage litigation, disputes and investigations across multiple jurisdictions, working with
• Monitor and control external counsel spend, including hands on oversight of legal spend for assigned matters.
• Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory developments impacting the Group's businesses.
• Partner with senior management and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives, transactions and projects to support business growth while appropriately managing legal risk.

 

Skills and Experience

• Qualified lawyer with at least 15 years' post-qualification experience gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both.
• Strong experience advising on corporate matters, disputes and general business legal issues.
• Proven ability to lead complex legal matters and manage multiple stakeholders across jurisdictions.
• Commercially astute, business-oriented and solutions focused, with sound judgment and strong risk assessment skills.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse organisation.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment.
• Demonstrates high levels of integrity, ownership, accountability and professionalism.
