Description
Team Leadership & Operations
- People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower a team of HR Coordinators responsible for supporting day-to-day recruiting, scheduling, and onboarding operations.
- Workload & Resource Management: Manage capacity, task allocation, and daily workflow execution across campus and professional recruiting tracks.
- Coaching & Growth: Provide regular feedback, training, and ongoing professional development to build capability across the coordinator team.
Process Management
- Campus Recruiting Program Management: Manage logistics and planning for major candidate events and initiatives, including early ID summits, summer associate programming, competitions, student ambassador programs, and interview day processes.
- Background & Drug Oversight: Facilitate smooth candidate progression through background and drug checks; evaluate and refine screening policies for efficiency. Manage the background vendor and collaborate with Clark Safety on the drug test vendor partnership.
- Recruitment Lifecycle: Own and refine the end-to-end recruitment process, incorporating hiring manager feedback for continuous improvement. Ownership of campus and professional recruiter manuals.
- Interview Process: Ensure a consistent process for campus and professional interview days creating an outstanding experience for candidates. Host and execute onsite campus candidate interview days in McLean and a consistent process and experience nationally.
- Experience Quality: Survey candidates to identify friction points and ensure an industry-leading candidate experience.
- Standardization: Maintain the enterprise job description database to ensure brand and role consistency across all of Clark.
- Systems Optimization: Partner with HRIT to drive the continued improvement of recruiting tools, including leading the implementation and workflow integration of ServiceNow for the campus recruiting inbox to streamline incoming inquiries, track SLAs, and automate candidate/university support. Additionally, oversee ongoing optimizations for Workday Recruiting and Handshake to enhance the user experience for candidates and recruiters.
- CRM Implementation & Management: Implement new recruiting CRM and ultimately overall system ownership and user experience.
- Onboarding: Lead coordination of all pre-hire onboarding ensuring the appropriate processes and execution for finalizing paperwork, IT and work equipment, candidate communications etc.
Campus Branding & Logistics
- Campus Interview Experience: Continuously refine the campus interview day experience - from candidate logistics to onsite hospitality - ensuring a consistent national standard.
- Brand Collateral & Logistics: Manage and refresh campus branding materials, including physical displays and promotional giveaways. Design and execute the nationwide logistics strategy to ensure event assets arrive accurately and on time.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with the Campus Recruiting Leader to design the annual career fair strategy, including event selection and registrations.
Metrics & Analytics
- Performance Dashboards: Organize, track and analyze recruiting metrics, providing actionable insights via monthly dashboard updates.
- Budgetary Control: Manage all recruiting budgets, including professional and campus cost-per-hire, summer associate bill rate and individual school budgets.
Work Location & Schedule
- Full-Time Onsite: This position requires full-time, in-person presence in our McLean, VA office to manage physical event collateral, host candidates, and lead the local team. Remote, hybrid, or alternate-location work arrangements are not available for this role.
- Standard Hours & Flexibility: Core office hours are typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional early morning start times are required to support onsite interview days, with general scheduling flexibility available for personal needs.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in recruiting operations, HR, or talent acquisition operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience.
- People Management: Proven experience directly leading, mentoring, and managing a team of HR or recruiting coordinators.
- Operations & Event Logistics: Strong background managing end-to-end recruitment operations, high-volume campus recruiting logistics, intern programming, and event branding/promotional assets.
- Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ATS and HR tools. Experience with Workday Recruiting, Handshake, ServiceNow, or recruiting CRMs preferred.
- Vendor & Compliance Oversight: Experience managing background check and drug screening vendor relationships, policies, and compliance.
- Analytics & Finance: Demonstrated capability in tracking/reporting recruiting metrics via dashboards and managing program budgets, cost-per-hire metrics, and expense allocations.
- Location Requirement: Ability to work 100% onsite in McLean, VA, with flexibility for occasional early morning starts on candidate interview days.

The Physical Side of the Role: Given that a good portion of your day will be spent at a desk, you should be comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work, whether it's collaborating with colleagues, analyzing data, or developing strategies. The role demands effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work. While there are times for quiet concentration, you'll also be expected to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations, including dynamic construction sites, utilizing different modes of transportation. The ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion (think a box of files or small office equipment), is also required.
Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment. Clark offers a total compensation package that includes base salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, retirement/401k, and Company Contribution plan. For this role the base salary range is $65,000 - $170,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
