Job Type: Full-time, Benefit Eligible. Hours 8am-5pm Monday through Friday 

Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant with a strong foundation in technical accounting and financial reporting. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Controller to ensure accurate, compliant financials and support complex accounting areas. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into accounting guidance, improving reporting quality, and owning key parts of the closing process.

Key Responsibilities: 

· Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with GAAP or IFRS

· Lead critical components of the month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and consolidations

· Research and apply technical accounting guidance to support proper treatment of transactions

· Draft accounting memos and document conclusions for complex or non-routine areas

· Perform detailed account reconciliations and ensure balance sheet integrity

· Analyze financial results and explain variances to management

· Partner with the Controller on implementation of new accounting standards and policies

· Support external audits, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries

· Identify and implement improvements to accounting policies, controls, and reporting processes

· Invoicing & AP/AR (Limited Scope)

· Maintain general familiarity with AP/AR workflows to support overall financial accuracy

· Provide occasional backup support for invoicing or billing as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

· 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to technical accounting topics

· Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS a plus)

· Experience researching accounting guidance and documenting positions

· Proficiency with accounting systems such as Sage and QuickBooks

· Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail

· CPA (preferred or in progress)

Salary and Benefits:

$55,000 - $75,000 range - Actual hourly range and benefits may differ based upon skills and experience. The position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision and mental health insurance, 401k, profit-sharing, and other benefits. Details to be discussed during application process.
