Duties/Responsibilities
Serve as organization liaison for referral sources; developing relationships through face-to-face visits with physicians, advance practice practitioners, nurses, referral coordinators, practice managers, physical therapists, athletic trainers and medical staff from referring practices in the fields of pediatrics, family medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, physical therapy and orthopedics.
Excel in relationship building skills and be able to authentically translate a lead into a reliable referral source through the appropriate and genuine Scottish Rite for Children approach, follow-through and ongoing and custom relationship management and support.
Show referral growth results year over year tied to outreach efforts within territory, practices and physicians.
Interpret current physician referral patterns utilizing existing reporting tools and market intelligence to assess opportunities for strategic growth within the service area. Coordinate and manage regular meetings with leadership team to review data and discuss current and future growth strategies. Ultimately the liaison is responsible for identifying and executing on the tactics that are most effective to grow appropriate referrals to the organization.
Collaborate with strategy and planning team to help identify market insights and growth strategy based on internal and external referral data.
Develop results-oriented outreach plans and serve as point person to see plan through to fruition. From development to execution stages, liaison will report on progress and update/adjust plan as new learnings and developments arise in addition to keeping the plan, deliverables, and responsible staff members on track for the projected timeline - all while keeping the desired outcomes as the main focus.
In addition to possessing excellent follow up skills that are required to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen relationships with referral sources, liaison must have active listening skills and work to understand the current perception of our services, while identifying physician needs and concerns to forge the best possible experience for referring providers.
Frequent issue resolution for referring providers in the assigned territory is required. Liaison will work collaboratively with service line directors and leadership team to resolve issues and improve processes when needed. Must have the ability to recognize acute problems and know how to coordinate effectively in a large organization in order to receive a timely solution.
Onboard new physicians by introducing them to referring providers, coordinating in person or virtual introductions, lectures or other speaking opportunities.
Support events as needed, specifically intended to nurture referral relationships and enhance faculty and hospital reputation. This will include some health fairs and health conferences with some limited weekend time commitments.
Collaborate with internal marketing/communications team to help identify materials needed for outreach and keep them up to date.
Collaborate with all internal departments at both campuses, including patient access, ambulatory care, financial services, family services, orthopedics, sports medicine, fracture, rheumatology, neurology, therapy services and dyslexia.
Maintain detailed activity reports and updated contact lists for assigned territory in PRM (Welltok) by documenting each provider and external staff interaction and measuring key activities and impacts.
Communicate in a manner that supports the organization’s vision, mission and values.
Travel to Scottish Rite for Children campuses averaging 1-2 times per month

Required Skills/Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience working with community-based physicians and demonstrates the ability to develop trusting relationships with physicians.
