Plant Manager

The position is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the cold storage facility to ensure efficient workflow, product integrity, cost control, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. It leads plant operations by driving operational excellence, optimizing cold chain performance, and ensuring that storage, handling, and production targets are achieved efficiently. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to align business objectives, maintain operational continuity, and foster a high-performance work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will:

• Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficient, safe, and continuous facility performance.
• Develop and implement operational plans, production schedules, and strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor storage conditions, operational output, and product quality to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and reliability of cold storage systems, refrigeration equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost optimization, operational efficiency, and service quality.
• Monitor and manage plant KPIs, operational targets, and performance metrics.
• Lead, supervise, and develop plant personnel across various operational functions.
• Establish clear performance expectations, accountabilities, and responsibilities across teams.
• Coordinate closely with Supply Chain teams to support inventory management, storage optimization, and logistics planning.
• Collaborate with Maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Partner with Human Resources on manpower planning, employee relations, training, and organizational development initiatives.
• Work with Finance teams on budgeting, cost control, and operational planning activities.
• Support safety programs and ensure adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Promote employee engagement, teamwork, accountability, and a culture of operational excellence.
• Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to management regarding plant performance, resource utilization, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and cold storage operational guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

• You must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management, or a related field.
• You must have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, cold storage, warehousing, or plant operations.
• You must have supervisory or managerial experience leading operational teams.
• You must have strong knowledge of production management, cold chain operations, quality control, and process improvement methodologies.
• You must have familiarity with food safety standards, cold storage regulations, and compliance requirements.
• You must have proven experience managing plant KPIs, operational performance targets, and resource planning.
• You must have strong communication and coordination skills to effectively align multiple departments and stakeholders.
• You must have experience working with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Maintenance, Human Resources, Finance, and Operations.
• You must have strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• You must be highly organized, results-driven, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• You must have experience in budgeting, reporting, and operational planning

Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday (8 am – 5 pm) 

Work Setup: Onsite – Jaro, Iloilo City
