Our client, a highly respected A-rated Property & Casualty insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Senior Pricing Specialist to join its growing actuarial department. This is a highly visible individual-contributor position for an FCAS who can combine technical pricing expertise with strong business judgment. The selected candidate will partner closely with underwriting, technology, actuarial, and executive stakeholders to strengthen pricing capabilities, enhance portfolio performance, and support profitable growth. Strong preference for candidates that reside in any of the following states: NJ, NY, CT, or GA.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and refine pricing models that support profitable underwriting decisions across multiple commercial insurance products.

Perform actuarial analyses to evaluate rate adequacy, profitability, and portfolio performance while identifying opportunities for pricing enhancements.

Design and maintain rating methodologies that align with business objectives and market conditions.

Work closely with underwriting, technology, and actuarial teams to implement pricing changes within policy administration and rating systems.

Build analytical tools and reporting solutions that provide underwriters and leadership with actionable pricing insights.

Analyze renewal business and pricing trends to help balance profitability with customer retention goals.
Requirements

Must have 8+ years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience, preferably within the commercial insurance market.

Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation required.

Strong background in pricing, rate development, predictive analytics, and actuarial modeling.

Experience supporting underwriting operations through pricing strategy and portfolio analysis.

Advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL, Python, and other data analysis technologies.

Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
