Job description
Our client is an established, full-service law and are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk with at least 3 years experience to join their team in their Commercial Real Estate Law practice group.
Your new role
In this new role as a Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk, you will be responsible for a wide variety of legal and administrative duties within the real estate sphere, working with a team of Clerks supporting a Lawyer. You will manage and complete commercial purchase and mortgage files from start to finish. In this role you will Handle all forms of real estate files, including purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinancing. Drafting and coordinating necessary documents required for closing. Organize/collect material for commercial real estate deals and summarize this information, as needed. Working on complex real estate and land development transactions.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 3-years relevant real estate experience at a law firm. Knowledge of acquisitions, dispositions, financings, project development, and condo and development work are an asset. Real estate statutes and practices, legal concepts and procedures, transactional experience and broad, but thorough knowledge of basic legal principles are essential for this role. You should have exceptional written and communication skills, are organized and meticulous with follow-up and details, and are able to take initiative, prioritize, and multi-task. Experience in Teraview and Conveyancer is a must.
