Position Overview
- Accounting Operations: Process daily financial transactions including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll.
- General Ledger: Reconcile bank and credit card statements, balance sheet accounts, and resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Software Management: Leverage Sage to maintain accurate data entry, automate routine billing, and generate custom financial reports.
- Month/Year-End Close: Assist in preparing and posting journal entries, trial balances, and adjusting entries in preparation for the monthly close process.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections for management review.
- Compliance & Audit: Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring all documentation aligns with GAAP and supports both internal and external audits.
- Software Skills: Proven proficiency in Sage (Sage 50, Sage 100, or Sage Intacct). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
- Experience: 2–5 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Core Competencies: Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, high attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills
