Bookkeeper - Manufacturing & Retail SME

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team at a thriving Manufacturing & Retail SME. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making and drive business performance.Key Responsibilities:Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statementsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processesProvide insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance to support decision-makingAssist with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditorsContinuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracySupport ad hoc projects and analysis as requiredThe Ideal Candidate:- Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing or Retail sector- Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of financial principles- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail- Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and developmentIn return, we offer a competitive salary package, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to work in a supportive and dynamic team environment.
