As a Procurement Officer, you'll support fleet operations by ensuring timely and accurate execution of procurement activities for vessels worldwide. Your responsibilities include executing procurement activities in line with vessel schedules, raising and managing Purchase Orders, working closely with Procurement Managers and Vessel Managers, supporting cost control through competitive quotations, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures. The role requires 2-4 years of maritime procurement or purchasing experience, exposure to vessel operations and logistics, experience with procurement systems (BASSnet or similar preferred), strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure managing multiple tasks.

About the role
We are looking for a Procurement Officer to support fleet operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution of procurement activities for vessels worldwide.
This is a hands-on operational role, working closely with Procurement Managers, Vessel Managers, and suppliers to deliver reliable and efficient procurement services to the fleet.
What you will do
• Execute procurement activities in line with vessel schedules – ensure timely processing, no avoidable delays
• Raise and manage Purchase Orders (POs), quotations, and order follow-up
• Work closely with Procurement Managers and Vessel Managers on daily operational requirements
• Support cost control by obtaining competitive quotations and challenging obvious inconsistencies
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery status, documentation, and issue resolution
• Resolve routine and urgent supply issues escalating where required
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, systems, and approval workflows
• Monitor order and invoice status to ensure accuracy and timely processing
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and service delivery
What we are looking for
• 2–4 years maritime procurement or purchasing experience
• Exposure to vessel operations, spares, and logistics
• Experience with procurement systems (BASSnet or similar preferred)
• Strong organisational and follow-up discipline
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
