**Engineering @ Steuerboard**
**tl;dr** we need someone who can build fast, think big, and doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. You'll be crafting the foundation of a new generation tax platform used by tens of thousands of businesses. If you've ever wanted to see your code shape an entire economy, this might be your jam.
**the bigger picture:** we are not just doing a “tax application”. We are building the foundation of how european businesses handle finance and tax - one of the most important pillars of our economy. We will not only level up thousands of tax offices but also tens of thousands of businesses.
Our product will be the foundation for the next generation of tax-offices. For this it needs to thread an impossible needle: deep enough for complex data handling, accessible enough to make handling tax easy.
## Tasks
- Build impactful features
- Writing a ton of code (primarily Typescript/Next.js)
- Keeping our stack running (Vercel/Cloudflare/AWS)
- Talk to users when they break things
- Make quick product decisions
## Requirements
- have build things from the ground up with real users (4+ years)
- be comfortable with our stack
- Typescript, Nextjs, React
- LLM APIs (openai, mistral, anthropic, etc.)
- enjoy startup life - a lot of responsibility, fast decisions
- have experience building with AI
- fix things without being asked
- care more about the user experience than your nice code
- its a bonus if you have been a founder or cto in the past
