Conference Services Manager

Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Conference Services Manager to join our team at a client site in New York, NY. This role oversees the planning and execution of meetings and events, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure exceptional service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in event planning and management systems. A background in hospitality and large-scale event production is preferred. This position plays a key role in delivering a seamless and elevated meeting experience while fostering a culture of service and innovation.

What You'll Do

 

• Ensure all meeting rooms are clean, fully operational, and ready for scheduled meetings.
• Assist guests with connecting to and using conference room technology.
• Coordinate room reservations and confirm that scheduled guests and meetings are expected for the upcoming week.
• Oversee catering orders throughout the building and assigned floors, ensuring timely delivery and proactively managing any delays or issues.
• Respond to emails promptly to address immediate requests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage the events calendar to prevent double bookings, ensure accurate scheduling, and maintain compliance with space usage guidelines.

What You Bring

• An Associates Degree or two years equivalent experience 
• A positive, can-do attitude, and possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for efficient, personalized client service.
• Identify trends and areas for improvement, offering recommendations to management.
• Synthesize and present data to assist management in understanding activity volume and optimizing event organization.
• Exhibit professional verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
• Manage time effectively and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
