Job Purpose

Tiger Brands is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented PRS General Worker to support production and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate production recording, stock control, pallet management, and general operational duties. This role requires a highly numerate individual with strong problem-solving abilities who can ensure stock accuracy, maintain compliance standards, and contribute to the smooth running of operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately capture and process production and stock movements on the Oracle systems.
• Ensure all stock transactions are entered correctly and timeously.
• Balance and reconcile stock against shift reports at the end of each shift.
• Conduct daily stock counts and stock reconciliations.
• Investigate and report stock discrepancies, variances, and system inaccuracies.
• Provide accurate stock and production information to Team Leaders and Supervisors.
• Prepare, label, and stretch wrap pallets according to company standards.
• Ensure all pallets are accompanied by the required compliance, traceability, and quality documentation.
• Assist with receiving, staging, movement, and dispatch of stock as required.
• Complete all production and stock control documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the work area.
• Assist with stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory investigations.
• Support production teams and perform general operational duties as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management to support business requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or production environment will be advantageous.
• Excellent computer literacy and ability to work with stock management systems.
• Ability to perform accurate stock calculations, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when operationally required.
• Physically fit and capable of performing general manual duties.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Adhere to all Tiger Brands policies, procedures, and standards.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
• Follow all FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System requirements.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and safe working practices.
• Wear and maintain the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, product quality, and hygiene.
• Report any food safety, quality, environmental, or safety concerns immediately.
• Participate in all mandatory training and compliance initiatives.
