What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s AESP Team. The Consultant, Change and Release Management is accountable for end-to-end implementation from UAT through Production, ensuring changes are executed in alignment with CIBC standards and the SPT/enterprise implementation process. The role secures approvals, coordinates stakeholders, confirms readiness, leads deployment events, and ensures post-implementation testing and handoffs are completed.

To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

• Planning and Governance- Own end-to-end implementation responsibilities from UAT to Prod. Ensure all EPSP operational instructions are followed during change initiation and implementation windows. Ensure changes are approved by environment leads prior to deployment; confirm shakedown testing handoff after deployment.

• Execution and Incident Management- Lead deployment execution; ensure support teams and vendor teams are engaged before, during, and after the change. Ensure timely issue escalation and drive resolution during deployments. Initiate fallback/rollback per plan when required to minimize impact.

• Communication and Reporting- Communicate deployment status and outcomes to senior management, Project Managers, Delivery Teams, EIM/ECM, and stakeholders throughout the change lifecycle.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate 5-8 years experience in. Proven experience leading end-to-end deployments across UAT and Production environments. Strong knowledge of enterprise change management, implementation planning, and governance. Expertise in stakeholder management, cross-team coordination, and vendor engagement. Proficiency with change records and documentation practices (ECM/EIM artifacts, EPSP instructions). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis and corrective action planning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at executive status and incident communications.
