Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response guidelines at a public education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assist with visitor screening and/or directional support, and report maintenance, policy, and security-related issues through established channels.
• Support campus operations during arrival, dismissal, events, and/or after-hours activities by maintaining a visible presence and communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and first responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
