We’re looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Wellington Laboratory in Lower Hutt. You’ll be responsible for carrying out testing on aggregates, soil and asphalt in the laboratory helping us deliver high-quality testing.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

You will be responsible for carrying out testing on aggregates, soil and asphalt whilst ensuring the continuation of IANZ requirements.

Flexibility is a must, as due to the varied nature of our laboratory activities night shift and weekend work will be required from time to time. Overtime pay and night shift allowance is offered.

• Be involved in field testing and physical works

• Ensure equipment checks completed before equipment is operated

• Develop test methods and apply existing appropriate international and local methodology

• Demonstrated experience in a laboratory environment

• A relevant qualification in science or civil engineering preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Office

• Full Class 1 licence with the ability to drive a manual transmission
