Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
The Special Districts Department is a separate entity from San Bernardino County, and as such, compensation and benefits for their positions are set forth in a different compensation plan.
The salary for Special Districts (Accountant II (Special Districts)) is $63,148 - $91,436 annually (range 32). For additional details, refer to the Non-Represented Employee Compensation Plan and Benefits Summary.
| CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: | |
EDUCATION | Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics OR a bachelor's degree in another field which must include 30 semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in accounting. (Transcripts with qualifying coursework is required if degree is in another field.) |
| EXPERIENCE | Must possess one (1) year of full-time equivalent professional-level auditing and/or accounting experience. |

EXPERIENCE | Professional-level experience is defined as occupations that require specialized knowledge usually acquired through principal work experience. Clerical/bookkeeping experience is not considered qualifying. |
| EDUCATION | Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
