Sponsorship is not available for this position.Essential job duties include the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate classes in early childhood and/or elementary education; the ability to advise students; and the ability to work with students as well as P-6 schools and administrators. Additional duties include participation in university and community service initiatives; serving in an active and involved leadership role in both college and university committees; and involvement with research activities. Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in early childhood education, elementary education, or a closely-related field from an accredited university is required;
- ABD will be considered, provided degree conferral will occur before the time of appointment;
- Closely-related field in education (i.e. curriculum and instruction) will be considered if the applicant possesses a significant number of graduate hours in early childhood or elementary education;
- Eligibility to possess teaching credentials in early childhood and/or elementary education is required;
- A minimum of three years of recent, successful P-6 experience is required;
- Experience in and/or the ability to deliver online instruction is required;
- Teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred;
- Interest in or experience directing student research is preferred; and
- Experience in the supervision of interns in the P-12 setting is preferred.

Official transcripts will be required of the successful candidate prior to the start date of the appointment, but unofficial copies will be accepted for the application process.
