This role is responsible for overseeing all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters while providing high-level legal guidance to executive leadership. Lone Star Lawyers promotes a collaborative, forward-thinking work environment that values leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as chief legal advisor to executive leadership and senior management.Oversee corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contracts, litigation, and risk management activities.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, policies, and legal documentation.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Manage and coordinate external counsel, regulatory agencies, and legal vendors.Advise on employment law matters, internal policies, investigations, and dispute resolution.Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives.Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the firm and its operations.Qualifications & RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in good standing.7–10+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a general counsel or senior legal role.Strong background in corporate law, compliance, contracts, and employment law.Proven ability to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance.Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.BenefitsCompetitive compensation package based on experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.Paid time off and paid holidays.Retirement plan options.Professional development and leadership growth opportunities.Collaborative and supportive work culture.
