The Industrial Engineering team partners closely with manufacturing, business planning, and central engineering organizations to optimize factory performance, enable strategic growth, and support data-driven decision making. Team members leverage innovative technologies, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to improve forecasting accuracy, capacity utilization, and overall business outcomes.

As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining capacity models, analyzing manufacturing performance, and supporting capital planning decisions across Fab 6. You will serve as a key liaison between manufacturing areas and business stakeholders, translating operational requirements into scalable planning solutions. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to leverage AI-assisted tools and advanced analytics to drive operational efficiency and strategic decision making.

## Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and audit manufacturing capacity models to ensure tool capacity aligns with wafer output requirements and accurately reflects workstation performance.
• Perform capacity, scenario, and statistical analyses to identify constraints, evaluate operational changes, improve forecasting accuracy, and support data-driven decision making.
• Partner with manufacturing areas, central teams, and other fabs to close performance gaps, benchmark operations, and assess the impact of technology, process, and tool changes.
• Support capital planning activities by maintaining accurate equipment schedules, evaluating capacity impacts, preparing business justifications, and performing NPV analysis for capital investments.
• Leverage AI-enabled and AI-assisted tools, advanced analytics, and digital technologies to improve planning efficiency, accelerate problem solving, automate routine activities, and generate actionable business insights.

## Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience applying statistical methods and data analysis techniques to support operational or manufacturing decisions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing capacity modeling, Theory of Constraints, and queuing theory.
• Experience using analytical tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Advanced Excel, or similar technologies to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively prioritize work, solve complex problems, and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.

## Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, industrial engineering, capacity planning, factory planning, or related operations environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving alignment among technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience analyzing large transactional data sets and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Proven ability to identify optimization opportunities, improve operational performance, and influence strategic planning decisions through data-driven analysis.
• Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, AI-enabled analytics, or AI-assisted productivity tools to enhance decision quality, forecasting, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
