Responsibilities:
Provides functional administration and strategic support for the institution’s Slate CRM environment, with an emphasis on portals, workflows, forms, communications, and user experiences that support admissions and recruitment. Analyzes business processes and operational needs to improve CRM functionality, efficiency, and the applicant and staff experience. Partners with admissions, enrollment, and campus stakeholders to translate business needs into effective CRM solutions and sustainable processes. Serves as a functional subject-matter expert for Slate, ensuring the CRM supports institutional processes and evolving enrollment strategies.Cover Letter Required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
CRM Development and System Administration
- Lead the development and ongoing improvement of Slate applications, forms, workflows, portals, dashboards, and user experiences that support admissions, recruitment, and enrollment goals.
- Coordinate data exchanges, imports, exports, and integrations between Slate and institutional systems in collaboration with Central IT and other technical partners to support accurate and effective business processes.
- Configure and maintain Slate functionality that supports institutional processes, including fields, rules, workflows, datasets, and other CRM features.
- Develop and maintain CRM resources, including templates, queries, reports, dashboards, and communications that help stakeholders effectively manage admissions and recruitment operations.
- Support data governance and retention practices that promote data accuracy, appropriate stewardship, compliance, and effective use of CRM information.
- Evaluate business processes and user needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement Slate enhancements that increase efficiency, usability, and effectiveness.
Business Analysis and Project Collaboration
- Partner with enrollment, admissions, and campus stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate operational needs into CRM solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Slate functionality, best practices, and process optimization.
- Lead or support project management activities related to CRM enhancements, implementations, and operational initiatives.
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements through automation, workflow redesign, and system enhancements.
- Coordinate testing, documentation, training, and change management activities for new functionality and system updates.
- Collaborate with campus partners to ensure successful deployment of integrations, workflows, and operational processes.
Data Governance and System Integrity
- Establish and maintain business requirements for data exchanges between Slate and institutional systems, partnering with Central IT and other technical teams to support accurate and consistent data flow.
- Support data governance, validation, and quality practices that promote data accuracy, consistency, and reliable reporting for admissions and enrollment operations.
- Develop and maintain Slate business rules, workflows, and supporting documentation that ensure processes are clearly defined, consistent, and aligned with institutional needs.
- Coordinate testing and validation of data processes, integrations, and Slate updates to ensure changes support business requirements and operational needs.
Portal Development and User Experience
- Serve as the functional lead for the development and ongoing improvement of Slate portals supporting recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and student engagement.
- Develop user-centered portal experiences that align with institutional branding, communications, and operational goals.
- Manage portal navigation, forms, and other functionalities to provide clear, accessible, and effective experiences for prospective students and other audiences.
- Coordinate portal testing, quality assurance, and enhancements with campus partners to ensure consistent and reliable user experience.
- Ensure Slate portals meet institutional accessibility, usability, data governance, and security standards in collaboration with appropriate campus partners.
Service Ticket Management
- Monitor, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve service tickets related to Slate functionality, workflows, applications, portals, reporting, and integrations.
- Provide timely technical and functional support to end users by diagnosing issues, recommending solutions, and implementing system enhancements where appropriate.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to document issues, communicate resolution timelines, and ensure successful completion of support requests.
- Identify trends in support requests and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, or system optimizations to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in conferences, workshops, and related forums as an attendee, panelist, presenter, or moderator, remaining current with industry best practices and incorporating new knowledge into day-to-day work.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma and 4 years of related experience required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in higher education or healthcare field preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with interface, networking, design, and relational database technologies preferred
- Experience with authentication and authorization methods such as Shibboleth, LDAP and Active Directory preferred
- Experience supporting Cloud and on premises applications preferred
- Experience with multi-tier applications employing application and web servers preferred
- Experience with project management from planning through implementation preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations required
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and help team members embrace technology change preferred
- Proven track record executing multiple work streams and producing consistent results preferred
- Strong understanding of system/application administration activities preferred
- Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL or related database experience preferred
- Solid understanding of Web Server, App Server and/or Database interactivities preferred
- Solid understanding of application infrastructure and architecture preferred
