Position Details:
- Location: Cabot, Arkansas
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour
What You'll Do:
As a Work Instructor, you'll provide structured vocational training and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities. Your goal will be to help individuals build skills in areas such as sensorimotor development, communication, social interaction, cognitive growth, and vocational readiness.
As a Driver, you'll ensure the safe transportation of individuals to and from the facility, creating a secure and supportive environment on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise participants in a work setting and implement safety measures.
- Guide consumers in meeting production deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Provide individualized and group instruction for vocational training.
- Assist with time studies to establish fair piece rates.
- Record and monitor consumer work progress and maintain documentation.
- Evaluate and adjust consumer programs as needed.
- Supervise and engage with consumers during breaks and lunch periods.
- Maintain and submit accurate billing and transportation logs.
- Transport consumers safely in a van or bus while ensuring compliance with all driving policies.
- Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and well-maintained.
- Adhere to safety and transportation policies, including following speed limits, stopping at railroad crossings, and avoiding cell phone use while driving.
What We're Looking For:
- Age Requirement: 21 years or older.
- Education & Experience: High school diploma required; one year of experience in human services or working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Experience driving a 15-passenger vehicle is a plus.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid Arkansas Driver's License, CPR/First Aid certification.
- Background Check & Drug Screening: Required for all candidates.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly instruct and support individuals in their vocational and daily living goals.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, kneel, and crouch regularly.
- Lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly, 35 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Drive in various weather conditions while maintaining focus and safety.
