Description
The Fixed Income Operations Booking Team is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely booking of fixed income transactions across trading, client, and operational systems. The team serves as a critical control function between Front Office, Operations, Technology, and external stakeholders, supporting the end-to-end trade lifecycle while mitigating operational and financial risk.
As an Associate, you will be responsible for monitoring trade bookings, investigating exceptions, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure trade activity is captured accurately and processed efficiently. This role offers exposure to fixed income products, trading workflows, settlement processes, and control frameworks within a fast-paced global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review and validate fixed income trade bookings to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Investigate and resolve booking discrepancies, trade breaks, and system exceptions in a timely manner.
Partner with Trading, Sales, Operations, Technology, and Product teams to resolve trade capture issues.
Monitor daily control reports and identify potential operational risks or booking irregularities.
Support the timely escalation of significant issues and provide detailed root cause analysis.
Perform trade lifecycle management activities including amendments, allocations, cancellations, and corrections.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on automation, scalability, and risk reduction.
Assist with testing and implementation of system enhancements and strategic technology projects.
Produce management reporting and provide metrics related to booking quality, exception trends, and operational performance.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, controls, and workflows.
Support business continuity efforts and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
0-3 years of experience in financial services, operations, middle office, trade support, or related functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy and control.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of fixed income products, including corporate bonds, government bonds, municipals, or securitized products.
Knowledge of trade lifecycle concepts including booking, matching, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
Experience working with trading, settlement, or operational platforms within a financial services environment.
Familiarity with regulatory and risk management principles impacting capital markets operations.
Experience using data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI.
Exposure to process improvement methodologies or automation tools.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions.

Salary range for the position: $51,000 - $82,500 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
