Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Access Monitor in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain access logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, common areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, employees, and visitors while documenting incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
