Description
Maintenance Mechanic
Keep our fabrication shop running. T Bailey is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic who is as comfortable troubleshooting a 3-phase motor control circuit as rebuilding a hydraulic system. You'll be the person our production team counts on to diagnose problems fast, fix them right, and keep a wide range of heavy fabrication equipment in top shape.
No two days look the same. You'll maintain and repair CNC plasma burn tables, plate rolls, welding power sources, overhead cranes, forklifts, hydraulic systems, and the 480V 3-phase power and motor controls that drive them.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain 3-phase (208/480V) motors and motor control circuits, including starters, contactors, overloads, and VFDs
- Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic to diagnose faults
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on fabrication equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and complete work orders

- Install new equipment, inspect parts for wear, and verify repairs before returning equipment to production
- Recommend major repairs and equipment/tool purchases to the Maintenance Manager
- Follow lockout/tagout and electrical safe work practices and support the T BAILEY Safety Program
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of maintenance mechanic experience with industrial equipment
- 3+ years of industrial electrical troubleshooting, including 3-phase motor controls

- Knowledge of lockout/tagout and NFPA 70E electrical safe work practices
- 1+ year operating overhead cranes
- Ability to work independently and communicate well with operators and supervisors
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or formal training preferred. A combination of education and experience may qualify.
WHY T BAILEY
