Job Summary:
The Associate Industrial Engineer is an entry-level professional who supports process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This role works under direct supervision to apply basic industrial engineering concepts to collect data, analyze processes, and support improvement projects. This position provides a strong foundation in the core activities of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in process improvement projects by conducting time studies, creating process maps, and collecting production data.
- Gathers and compiles data for analysis, helping to identify waste and opportunities for improvement in the manufacturing line.
- Supports the implementation of Lean tools, such as 5S, standard work, and visual management, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Helps develop and maintain documentation for new and existing processes.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree. No prior professional experience is required.
- A degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing principles and an interest in process improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
