Position:
ImmunEdge has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Specialist to join our growing Finance team. This individual will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the accounting function supporting month-end close, accounts payable, and general ledger activities while building a strong foundation across finance operations in a fast-moving, early-stage biotech.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle month-end close, including journal entry preparation, accruals, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Assist with recording payroll and lease-related entries
- Process accounts payable, including reviewing and coding invoices, to help ensure timely, accurate vendor payments
- Facilitate vendor onboarding and contract and purchase-request intake, routing documents into our contract management system
- Assist with year-end audit support, including responding to external auditor requests
- Support employee expense and T&E processing
- Maintain well-organized, audit-ready records and documentation
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience a plus
- Working knowledge of core accounting principles (US GAAP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Comfort with accounting systems and tools; experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to handle routine work reliably while navigating occasional nuance and ambiguity
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a supportive start-up environment
- Progress toward CPA licensure (parts passed)
- Public accounting experience
- Experience in biotech, pharma, or another early-stage/start-up environment
- NetSuite experience
- Experience with AI tools (i.e. Claude in Excel)
- Exposure to AP automation, T&E platforms, forecasting platforms, or contract management systems
Expected Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
