Position Summary
Fluke is seeking an Associate Information Security Engineer to support the company's enterprise security programs. This role provides an opportunity to build hands-on experience across cybersecurity operations, risk management, and security engineering while working alongside global security, infrastructure, and product teams.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Fluke, Fortive Shared Services, and other Fortive Operating Companies (OpCos) to help implement security controls, support compliance initiatives, improve security visibility, and reduce organizational risk.
This role is ideal for an early-career security professional who is technically curious, eager to learn, and interested in developing into a well-rounded security engineer.
Key Responsibilities Security Operations & Engineering
- Support day-to-day security operations activities.
- Assist with security reviews of new applications, services, and technology solutions.
- Support endpoint security, identity protection, email security, cloud security, and monitoring platforms.
- Assist with deployment, administration, and tuning of security technologies.
- Assist with testing and validation of new security controls and capabilities.
- Partner closely with Infrastructure, Service Desk, Cloud, and Engineering teams to resolve security issues.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives involving enterprise platforms and cloud service
Incident Response & Investigations
- Participate in cybersecurity incident investigations.
- Gather and analyze logs, alerts, telemetry, and forensic artifacts.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and Fortive security teams during active incidents.
- Assist with documentation of incidents, findings, and lessons learned.
- Support tabletop exercises and response readiness activities.
Security Awareness & Collaboration
- Work with users and technical teams to promote security best practices.
- Assist in developing security communications and awareness materials.
- Participate in tabletop exercises and security improvement initiatives.
Fortive & OpCo Partnership
- Collaborate with Fortive Shared Services and peer OpCos on security initiatives.
- Participate in working sessions to understand enterprise standards and controls.
- Help evaluate solutions and ensure alignment with Fluke business requirements.
- Share lessons learned and contribute to cross-company security improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, systems administration, or related technical fields.
- Basic understanding of:
- Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
- Networking concepts
- Identity and access management
- Vulnerability management
- Security monitoring and response
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and take ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Security+, SC-900, AZ-900, or similar certifications.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with Microsoft security technologies.
- Experience supporting compliance or audit activities.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell.
