Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Customer Service in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide courteous customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while providing a visible, professional presence in a dynamic educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
