Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Strategic Supply Chain Manager located in Guadalajara, North.
Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Supply Chain Manager role will be in charge of directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to supply chain management. In charge of managing and overseeing the methods and processes in hold up of both new and existing products. Customer face and strategic.
What a typical day looks like:
- Participate in the review of vendor and customer contracts by outlining requirements and considerations.
- Checks materials related to data research.
- Mechanical resources to various Ford projects as needed as subject matter expert.
- Drive Inventory reduction initiatives on assigned projects
- Increase Material Margin through cost reduction initiatives
- Participates with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and goals.
- Directs the activities of supply chain managers and staff and oversees planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.
- Interacts regularly with executives, customers and vendors.
- Drives supply chain management strategies to deliver customer requirements and maintain Flex's financial drive.
- Provides supplier management as related to product development and integration.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience
- Experience in one or more disciplines of supply chain management and operations.
- Mechanical experience with a focus on castings, molded housing, and stamped brackets, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated success in customer relationship management. This experience can be from a sales or support standpoint but must include experience interacting with external customers
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated negotiation skills in achieving favorable cost and service provisions.
- Candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to effectively achieve results in a largely autonomous work environment.
- Ability to influence and successfully lead in a fast-paced, matrix-reporting, multi-cultural environment.
- Candidate must be fluent in writing, speaking, and understanding English
