Job Description

As an SAP Trade Compliance GTS/ECC Subject Matter Expert, you will lead system enhancements, compliance initiatives, and cross-functional projects while partnering with business and IT partners globally. You will serve as the primary liaison between Trade Compliance functions, IT, Logistics, Customer Care, and external partners. In this role, you will drive regulatory compliance, optimize trade management systems, implement regulatory changes, and support business continuity. You will combine trade compliance expertise, SAP system ownership, and project leadership to ensure compliant, efficient, and scalable global operations. You will report to the Global Trade Compliance COE Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH.

Your Responsibilities:

• Govern export and import compliance processes, including sanctioned party, embargo, and export license screening.
• Resolve compliance-related SAP GTS blocks and master data issues impacting order processing and shipment release.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. EAR, EU Dual-Use, and other global trade regulations.
• Assess, interpret, and implement regulatory changes affecting global trade operations.
• Support audit readiness, regulatory inquiries, and remediation activities.
• Serve as the functional owner and super user for SAP GTS trade compliance processes.
• Configure, enhance, test, and deploy SAP solutions to support regulatory and business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GTS/ECC integration, master data, and system performance issues.
• Oversee system archiving, record retention, and continuous process improvements.
• Evaluate, select, implement, and optimize Global Trade Management (GTM) technology solutions to enhance compliance, operational efficiency, and business scalability.
• Lead global trade compliance projects, including system enhancements, integrations, migrations, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Manage project requirements, testing, deployment activities, stakeholder alignment, and change management.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement solutions for complex business and compliance needs.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and analyses to support compliance monitoring, audits, and leadership decision-making.
• Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, training materials, and job aids.
• Deliver user training and support knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organization.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• 8+ years of SAP GTS and ECC functional experience.
• Proven experience leading requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and support activities across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience facilitating business requirements workshops, process mapping, and functional specification development.
• Strong knowledge of export/import compliance requirements and global trade regulations.
• SAP GTS / ECC functional expertise.
• Global trade compliance and regulatory interpretation.
• Global Trade Management (GTM) system strategy and implementation.
• Cross-functional project leadership.
• Root cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Stakeholder and vendor management.
• Process improvement and change management.
• Documentation, training, and audit support.
