Description

About Sirona Medical

At Sirona Medical, we’re building software that enables physicians to work as fast as they can think.

Each year in the U.S., billions of patient images are captured—and nearly all of them are reviewed and diagnosed by radiologists. These specialists are the central hub of diagnostic medicine: over 80% of all healthcare data flows through radiology IT systems. Yet despite their pivotal role, radiologists are overburdened by outdated, fragmented software which limits their efficiency and ultimately the quality and efficiency of care that health systems can provide patients. That’s where Sirona comes in.

We’re a San Francisco-based, cloud-native software company with employees around the world. Our deep understanding of both the practice and business of radiology has allowed us to build RadOS—a unified, AI-powered operating system powering the entire radiology workflows.

How Sirona Solves the Problem

Sirona is uniquely positioned to transform the way radiology is practiced. We're delivering the organizational shift that both individual radiologists and entire practices urgently need:

  • unified, intuitive, and platform-agnostic solution

  • A streamlined workspace that makes every part of the radiologist’s workflow faster and easier

  • The freedom to read from anywhere, for anyone

By cutting clicks, optimizing diagnostic time, and unlocking efficiencies that extend far beyond the reading room into all care settings, Sirona empowers radiologists—and in doing so, we help the entire healthcare system move faster, smarter, and with greater impact on patient outcomes.

Product Manager, Clinical Data & Workflow

Location: Remote (US). Preference for candidates based in Burlington, VT or the San Francisco Bay Area. If local, hybrid with three days per week in office.

Sirona Medical builds cloud-native radiology workflow software. This role owns how clinical data is understood, organized, and used across the radiologist's workflow, from determining what gets read next to surfacing the right clinical context and giving imaging teams control over how their environment is configured.

You'll also own the clinical data foundation behind these workflows, including Sirona's ontology and the logic that drives study and series classification, hanging protocols, reporting, and other forms of workflow automation. The opportunity is to use that foundation, along with AI where it makes sense, to remove steps from the radiologist's day and make the system increasingly aware of what they need and when they need it.

Candidates coming from PACS administration, imaging informatics, radiologic technology, or implementation and clinical solutions work at a PACS or radiology AI vendor are particularly well suited to this role. We're looking for someone who understands how radiology actually works, can spot friction others might overlook, and can turn that understanding into better software.

What you'll own:

  • Clinical data foundation: the ontology and classification logic that these and other product areas depend on
  • Worklist: how studies are prioritized, surfaced, assigned, and routed
  • Patient jacket: how priors, comparisons, and clinical context reach the reader
  • System administration: how imaging teams configure, monitor, and support their own environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the roadmap and priorities for your product areas, and defend those decisions to stakeholders across sales, customer success, and engineering
  • Define how work reaches the radiologist, so that less of the reading day is spent deciding what to read, chasing context, or working around the system
  • Expand what imaging teams can configure and troubleshoot themselves, and treat recurring support requests as product problems rather than service problems
  • Set and maintain the standards for how exams, procedures, body parts, and series are represented across the platform, and serve as the source of truth for the teams that depend on them
  • Identify where ontology-driven logic, automation, and AI can remove steps from the radiologist's day
  • Run discovery directly with radiologists, technologists, and system administrators at customer sites, and turn what you learn into prioritized requirements
  • Write clear product requirements and partner with design and engineering to move features from problem definition through launch and adoption
  • Partner with clinical, quality, and regulatory colleagues to ship safely in a regulated clinical environment
  • Define what success looks like for your areas, and measure whether shipped work actually moved it

Key Requirements:

  • Five or more years of combined experience across radiology operations, imaging informatics, clinical applications, or product management, including at least two years working directly with radiology imaging workflows
  • Working knowledge of the data and standards underneath radiology: DICOM study and series metadata, exam and procedure code semantics, and how information moves between RIS, PACS, and EHR systems via HL7 or FHIR
  • Demonstrated ability to turn observed clinical workflow problems into clear software requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can explain a tradeoff to an engineer and to a sales leader in the same afternoon, in the right language for each
  • Sound judgment under ambiguity, and the instinct to go find the answer rather than wait for it
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience as a PACS or RIS administrator, imaging informaticist, or radiologic technologist
  • Experience configuring hanging protocols, worklists, or study routing in a production environment
  • Familiarity with radiology terminology or ontology standards such as RadLex, LOINC, or SNOMED CT
  • Experience with AI or machine learning products in medical imaging or clinical decision support
  • Experience with structured reporting or report templating
  • Prior product management experience in a regulated healthcare or medical device environment

Benefits

  • Stock
  • Competitive salaries
  • Flexible Paid Time Off
  • Medical, dental, vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Maternity and Paternity Leave
  • 401(k) matching
  • Apple equipment
  • Sponsorship for conferences, continuing education

The annual US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 to $160,000 + equity + benefits. Pay is flexible depending on experience, work location, and job-related skills.
