Job Description:

The Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician performs maintenance and repairs on boilers, chillers, circulation fans and HVAC equipment on the Sunbury site.

Background/Skills:

• Strong analytical troubleshooting abilities
• Must have good math skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• CMMS system knowledge
• Intermediate blueprint reading skills
• Beginner to intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point

Special Training / Certifications:

• EPA Certified Refrigeration Handler Class Universal
• NFPA70 Arc Flash Training
• Liebert Environmental cooling systems
• Low Pressure Chiller Training
• Ohio Fire Detection License
• Building Automation Controls training

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Stand/Walk 8/12 hours per day
• Work 5-7 days per week
• Lift up to 35 pounds frequently.

Education and/or Experience:  

Work experience in commercial HVAC Installs/Maintenance, Plumbing, Gas Line Installations/Repairs, Building and project management.

• Facilities Technician I: Skilled and Competent Level

No Degree in technical discipline & 2+ years related work experience

• Facilities Technician II:  Excellent Level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 2+ years related work experience OR 6+ years in related work experience

• Facilities Technician III: Outstanding / Role Model Level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 4+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 2+ yrs. work experience OR 10+ years related work experience

• Senior Facilities Technician I:  Skilled and Competent Level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 6+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 4+ yrs. work experience OR 14+ years related work experience.

• Senior Facilities Technician II: Excellent Level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 8+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 6+ yrs. work experience OR 16+ years related work experience

• Senior Facilities Technician III:  Outstanding / Role Model Level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 10+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 8+ yrs. work experience OR 18+ years related work experience

• Principal Facilities Technician I:  Skilled and Competent Level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 12+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 10+ yrs. work experience OR 20+ years related work experience

• Principal Facilities Technician II: Excellent Level

 2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 14+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 12+ yrs. work experience OR 22+ years related work experience

• Principal Facilities Technician III: Outstanding / Role Model Level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 16+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 14+ yrs. work experience OR 24+ years related work experience

• Chief Facilities Technician I: Skilled and Competent level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 18+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 16+ yrs. work experience OR 26+ years related work experience

• Chief Facilities Technician II: Excellent level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 20+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 18+ yrs. work experience OR 28+ years related work experience

• Chief Facilities Technician III: Outstanding / Role Model Level

2 Year Degree in technical discipline & 22+ years related work experience OR 4 Year Degree in technical discipline & 20+ yrs. work experience OR 30+ years related work experience
