The Role

• Functional Tester to ensure that applications and systems meet business requirements by executing manual and/or automated functional test cases.

• The role involves validating features, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers and business analysts to deliver high-quality software.

• Should have strong experience in the banking and financial services domain with FOREX trading knowledge . 

Skills/Key Responsibilities :

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in Business application system integration and IT Infrastructure Test Management, Test Process, Test Design and Test execution.

• 3 years of experience in RTGS application integration testing (SWIFT, FED (PayPlus) and SIC (GMPlus) RTGS applications and RTGS message testing. 

• Good knowledge in IBM WebSphere MQ, middleware components configuration checks.

• Extensive knowledge in SDLC, software testing life cycle, testing methodologies and testing techniques.

• Understand and analyse business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Design, prepare, and execute functional test cases (manual and/or automated).

• Validate that application functions as expected across different platforms and environments.

• Identify log, and track defects/bugs using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.

• Perform regression testing to ensure fixes do not impact existing functionality.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team to ensure timely resolution of issues.

• Prepare detailed test reports and provide feedback on software quality.

• Contribute to maintaining test documentation (test cases, traceability matrix, etc.).

Required Skills and Experience
•6-8 years of testing experience in aligned technology or service domain
•Experience with test strategy and planning, execution, and defect management
•Proficiency in programming languages and testing tools
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate across project teams

Preferred Skills and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
•ISTQB Certification (International Software Testing Qualification Board)
